Who should apply?

Custom applicators that use pesticide application equipment such as trailed, self-propelled or airblast sprayers and wish to install continuous rinse systems to reduce operator exposure to pesticides, lower the potential for point source environmental contamination, and improve productivity.

To apply you must

  • There are no additional qualifications necessary in order to apply for this Project Category

Eligible activities and expenditures

  • Modifications to an existing sprayer to install a continuous rinse system
  • Machine parts towards the modification of a sprayer for continuous rinsing
  • Third-party costs to install a continuous rinse system

Ineligible activities and expenditures

  • Modification costs for more than one sprayer per business
  • Parts, services or equipment not directly related to the installation of the continuous rinse system (e.g., conducting routine maintenance of a sprayer or replacing existing sprayer parts)
  • In-kind contributions
  • Ineligible activities and costs as detailed here

Available cost-share

50 per cent, up to a maximum of $2,500

Required documentation

  • A formal quote for parts and labour for the installation of a continuous rinse system

Merit assessment criteria

  • Average number of cumulative acres the sprayer that will be modified passes over per year
